The government moves one step closer in making a specific offense of honor-related crime

That’s welcomed by the organisation Glöm Aldrig Pela och Fadime, or Gapf, which was set up in the wake of the murder of 26-year-old Fadime Sahindal in Uppsala 17 years ago. She was shot point blank in the face by her father who thought she had brought shame on the family for dating a Swedish man. The founder of Gapf Sara Mohammad tells Radio Sweden the investigation is welcomed but that there is more to be done on the issue.
