While the Swedish Migration Agency’s efforts to shorten processing times for asylum applications are beginning to yield positive results, the Agency is also facing budget and staff cuts, Swedish radio said.
Mikael Ribbenvik, director-general of the Migration Agency, told Swedish Radio that by the end of the year, general waiting times are expected to be back at the same level they were at five years ago.
However, when it comes to asylum applications, the Agency is falling behind.
